The soccer star and his wife Victoria raise their four children in Los Angeles at the moment, where he plays for LA Galaxy. There is speculation they are planning to relocate to New York City when his contract is up, so Victoria can concentrate on her fashion career. It seems David is only too happy for the change in lifestyle.
"Victoria has really started to take over the reins as the main breadwinner in the family. A move to New York would mean David leaving LA Galaxy, so he could become a house husband, spending more time running the home, day to day," an insider told Heat magazine.
Victoria's fashion lines have gone from strength to strength over the last few years. David reportedly understands her needs have changed and he wants to show her how supportive he is of her career.
"David is happy for Victoria to free up some of her domestic duties so that she can source new markets and materials," the source added.
"There's no escaping the fact that what started out as a hobby has turned into a hugely lucrative career and David is proud of her."
David has already started making moves towards his new role and is apparently enjoying being closely involved in his children Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper's lives.
