With Sunday’s American Music Awards fast approaching, the question remains as to whether or not it will include an awkward run-in between recently split couple Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez.
According to what we’ve turned up, so far only Bieber is confirmed to grace the ABC televised event with his presence. Selena’s attendance is still very much up in the air.
“Selena has never been confirmed to be at the show,” a rep for the awards tells Hollyscoop.
But, if we were the betting type, our money would be on Selena not showing up. It is only a week after they very publicly announced their breakup...
Selena ditching the AMAs this year wouldn’t exactly be the end of the world for the show. Adding to our suspicions that Selena will turn up M.I.A. on the big day is the fact that her name is not included on the everlasting list of nominees…
Justin, on the other hand, is 100 percent verified for the event. He will not only attend and probably accept a couple awards, but also perform during the star-studded program that includes acts Kelly Clarkson, Carly Rae Jepsen, Psy, The Wanted and Swizz Beatz with Chris Brown and Ludacris.
A solo appearance for the Biebs would come after his very affectionate appearance with Selena at last year’s AMAs, which included hand-in-hand carpet walking, ear kissing, and other things that they don’t teach you on the Disney channel.
Meanwhile, Selena has reportedly blocked the Biebs from her cell phone—texts and calls—but continues to follow him on Twitter. (HS confirmed the latter after tireless moments searching through the 700 plus people she follows…)
