Afro Street-Hop crooner, Jahbless has already being seen push the
boundaries of genre several times from ragga to rap to pop. He reveal
lately "I've been writing a lot of R&B songs.the truth is I'm glad I have a gift that allows me to switch lanes."
Jahbless insisted that this is no Snoop Lion-style reinvention, pointing out that he has always striven to be diverse. "My talent is more than just street songs," he said. My whole goal in life was to reach that certain level of success where people will say, 'Hey, that guy can do anything."He admitted that the epic, often ridiculed project was always going to be divisive. "You are always going to have the negative and the positive," he said. "Uku Uku is something I didn't even expect. It is strange. But if you are going to be called a genius, which again I don't think of myself as, then you have to [break barriers]. You can't hate on that. You have to respect a person willing to sacrifice their career to try something new. You can say a lot about Uku Uku. But one thing you can't say is it's not entertaining. And aren't we in the entertainment business?
Jahbless is still planning on getting "I am me" album out this year, he promised: "If you liked rebirth and you liked Overground and, it's pretty much the 2 albums combined with lot of maturity. Proving that his talent still does to some extent lie in street songs.
